“If PDP oppose my candidacy, they will lose Edo state” – Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu warns

The Deputy Governor of Edo, Philip Shaibu, has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that failure to accept him as its candidate in the upcoming governorship election will spell doom for the party in the state.

On Thursday, boardroom guru Asue Ighodalo won the PDP primary at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City. In contrast, Philip Shaibu and his newly formed faction won the parallel election at a different venue.
