Economic Recovery: Don’t Rely On IMF, World Bank’s Advices, Akinsanya, Ex-CBN Staff Warns Tinubu

Mr. Abdullahi Oluwakemi Akinsanya, a retired banker with interest in development economics, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to shun outside interferences from neoliberal foreign agencies, if Nigeria will recover from its current economic problems, including power challenges.

According to him, the nation should stop relying on advice from such international agencies like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which he stressed, always come with tough and unfavourable conditionalities that cannot help the country in the long run.
