The telecoms company, which blamed the challenge on multiple fibre cuts it experienced on its submarine cable, however said the situation has been handled by its site engineers, assuring that it would be addressed.
Senior Manager, External Relations, MTN Nigeria, Mr. Funso Aina, who tendered the apology in a statement, stated: “Our customers have been experiencing challenges connecting to the network due to a major service outage caused by multiple fibre cuts, affecting voice and data services. Our engineers are working hard to resolve it with services gradually being restored in some areas. We apologise for the inconvenience and ask for your patience and understanding as the team works to restore full service as soon as possible.”
