Tinubu’s forex policy responsible for poverty, hardship in the country – Atiku

A former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar has blamed the forex policy of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the current poverty and economic hardship in the country.

According to Atiku, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, claimed that the policy’s hasty implementation and lack of careful planning have caused the nation to experience multiple economic crises.

Atiku made the claim on his X account on Sunday, adding that the government did not allow the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to develop and implement a sound FX management policy that would have dealt with such issues as increasing liquidity, regulating demands as well as rate convergence.
