Hardship May Worsen As Food Inflation Hits All Time High Of 35.41%

Nigeria’s inflation rate has risen to a record 29.90 per cent in January, principally driven by the high cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said.

The bureau disclosed this on Thursday in its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for January 2024 obtained by THE WHISTLER.
