NUPRC: Federal Govt Won’t Run Into Liabilities From Oil Firms’ Divestments 

LAGOS – The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), has said it is committed to making sure any divesting oil company and their potential assignees comply with laid down processes, to avoid having a situation of unwarranted liabilities for the federal government.

Gbenga Komolafe,the commission Chief Executive, made this known in a statement in reaction to an ongoing discussion on social media suggesting that certain International Oil Companies (Divesting Companies), have completed the sale of some of their oil and gas assets to some indigenous Nigerian companies,
