After being held in the United States for its 16th edition, the Headies is coming back home to Nigeria for its next edition. The decision to bring the award show back to its home country follows a period of hosting the event in the United States since 2022.
The Headies, also known as the Hip Hop World Awards, was established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to acknowledge outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. Over the years, it became a platform for recognizing and honouring the contributions of artists and industry professionals.
