Jannik Sinner knocksout Novak Djokovic from the Australian Open

The world number one was tipped as the favourite to reach the final of the competition for the 12th time, a feat that has never been achieved by any player in the history of the sport.

It was not a good day in the office for Djokovic as he lost the first two sets 6-1 6-2 6-7 (6-8) 6-3. He took the third set before Sinner wrapped up the game by winning the fourth set. This defeat ends Djokovic’s bid for a record 11th title, it also means there will be a new name on the trophy.
