American actor, Keanu Reeves is set to release his maiden novel The Book of Elsewhere in July 2024.
The Matrix and John Wick actor, revealed this in a recorded interview screened at the Good Morning America show, noting that the book, co-authored with British Speculative Fiction writer and literary critic, China Miéville, is connected to his comic book BRZRKR and explores further that world.
Reeves comic BRZRKR Volume 1, co-written with comic writer Matt Kindt was released March 2021, and tells the story of half-mortal, half-man B. Cursed to wander the world for centuries, the Berserker seems to have found his refuge fighting for the US in battles that are too violent and dangerous for others in exchange for the truth, about his endless blood-soaked existence, and how to end it. It sold over 615,000 copies, becoming the top bestselling issue since Star Wars # 1 (2015), and earned raving reviews as it exceeded readers expectation.
Excited about the book, Reeves said, “I’ve partnered with one of my favourite authors China Miéville, on the novel, The Book of Elsewhere. The series tells the story of an immortal warrior’s fight through the ages, and I love the world of BRZRKR so much that I wanted to explore it further and I thought one of the best ways to do that is through a novel.
“The Book of Elsewhere will publish in July 2024. If you read it. I hope you love it. Thank you,” concluded Reeves.
