CPDD Commends Supreme Court Over Kano, Plateau, Other, Governorship Elections Verdicts

The Center for Peace, Democracy, and Development, CPDD has Commended the Supreme Court over the recent landmark judgements involving Kano state, plateau, Lagos and others in governorship election petition that had restored confidence of the people in the Judiciary as the last hope of the oppressed.
The President,Center for Peace Democracy and Development, Dan Alpheus Adejoh, made the commendation on Thursday in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja, kogi state capital.
The President, noted that the Supreme Court’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and delivering judgements based on its merits rather than technicalities was a reflection of the true will and desires of the people .
He added that the rulings in the case of Kano, NNPP versus APC and in Plateau state PDP and APC not only affirmed the principles of democracy but also underscores the importance of a robust and impartial judiciary in safeguarding the integrity of electoral processes.
