Our Super Eagles on Thursday evening defeated host nation Ivory Coast at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations group A encounter.
Victor Osimhen missed a good chance to give us the lead in the first half, as his effort sailed over the bar following a fine through pass from Samuel Chukwueze.
Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong gave Nigeria the lead via a powerful penalty.
The match eventually ended 1 – 0 in favor of our Super Eagles. Our next game is on January 22nd where we face Guinea-Bissau
