The 46 inductees are among the 50 graduates who were successful at the FPGOP out of the 80 foreign trained pharmacists who applied for the programme.

The objective of the FPGOP is to ensure that the graduands are acquainted with the realities of practice in the tropics with emphasis on Nigeria.
Speaking during the oath taking/induction ceremony in Abuja yesterday, the registrar, PCN, Pharm. Ibrahim Babashehu Ahmed, urged the inductees to maintain high ethical conducts and leadership standards set forth by the council.

The director-general of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Dr. Obi Adigwe, disclosed the presidential initiative of unlocking the value chain of the health sector, stating that in the next 24 to 48 months, there would be a lot of local vaccine manufacturing companies and many companies that produce pharmaceutical inputs in the country.
