Labour Party In Niger Disassociates From ‘Fake’ Congress

….pledges loyalty to the Julius Abure-led NWC

Labour Party (LP) in Niger State has dissociated itself from a purported state congress that produced Hajiya Inno Ibrahim. The faction is also claiming to have merged with the ruling All Progress Congress (APC) in Niger State.

Hajiya Inno Ibrahim and Abdullahi Musa, according to statement signed by, Comrade Stanley Onyedika Onyeaguocha, Publicity Secretary of LP, Niger state led the delegation that decamped to the APC hence can no longer claim to be members of the party.

“The attention of Labour Party, Niger state Chapter have been drawn to a kangaroo state congress by members of Lamidi Apapa led group, at Dogonkoli hotel Minna, which produces one Hajiya Inno Ibrahim as their factional chairman”, the state said as it pledged their loyalty and support to Barrister Julius Abure led national executive.

While maintaining that, Hajiya Inno Ibrahim and Abdullahi Musa led the delegation that decamped to the APC before the 2023 gubernatorial election, the statement insists that the duo clandestinely worked against Labour Party in Niger state.

“Recall that, Alhaji Lamidi Apapa and two others were expelled from LP by the, Barrister Julius Abure led National Working Committee (NWC) due to their anti party activities”, adding that all those supporting Apapa stands expelled from the party as well.

The statement insists that, “By the judgement of the Supreme Court affirming Julius Abure as the authentic national chairman of LP. Based on the Supreme Court’s judgement the Lamidi Apapa, the expelled faction have no any right to conduct any Congress”.

While calling on party supporters and the general public to disregard the fake congress which it said amounted to nothing, Stanley Onyedika Onyeaguocha enjoined the general public to beware of imposters claiming to be LP members in Niger state.

Comrade Musa A. Mohammed is the authentic Labour Party Chairman in Niger state, adding that anyone who does business with Inno Ibrahim and Abdullahi Musa and any other person in their group does so at his/her peril as they no longer belong to the LP.

Hajiya Inno Ibrahim and Abdullahi Musa and others with them are NOT members of the party in Niger state and the general public should dissociate itself from them on any matter that concerns Labour Party.

The only recognized LP leadership recognised by the general public and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the statement indicated is the Comrade Musa A. Mohammed led executive who is also submissive to the Barrister Julius Abure led NWC.
