Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, has given his approval for all Nigerian Air Force personnel to begin using a group personal accident insurance policy.
Although the Nigerian Air Force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, clarified that the Ministry of Defence’s Group Life Assurance Policy only covers the families of personnel killed in action and does not cover medical costs resulting from accidents, military personnel are nonetheless covered by the policy.
