Reports indicate that Nigeria might have to make two changes to their released 25-man squad list ahead of AFCON 2023 due to injury concerns. Midfielders Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi might miss AFCON 2023 after it was confirmed that the two players who had made the 25-man squad shortlist picked up a knock in their fixtures for their club side Leicester City.
Although there is no official confirmation of the status and the severity of their injury, media outlets are of the opinion that Nigeria’s head coach might be forced to make the change on or before Wednesday, January 3, 2024, ahead of the competition in anury 13, 2024 in Ivory Coast.
