The festival, launched by Show Dem Camp in Lagos, held its fifth edition in December 2022, with over five thousand people in attendance. Since its inaugural event in 2017, it has become an annual event staple in Lagos and London, with New York following suit in 2023 as well.
Show Dem Camp founded the festival as an extension of their Palmwine Music releases. SDC has had the best of the best from African music join their Palmwine series.
