All is now set for the hosting of the 13th Edition of Ogwashi-Uku Awards/Dinner night, scheduled to hold on Monday, December 25, 2023.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Antonia Oguah, chief host of the carnival. She said the carnival will be hosted by Frankbryan Resorts in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South local government area, near Asaba.
Oguah said the event promises to be an evening of music, comedy and relaxation after the dance carnival performance in the day.”
The cream de la creme of Delta state, son’s and daughters of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, top government officials , tourists as well as holiday makers will be in attendance.
The chief host further said that the awards will be presented on behalf of the sponsors, Ogwashi-Uku Association USA Inc, adding that a total of 15 awards will be given to deserving personalities from Ogwashi-Uku, and other states of the federation for their invaluable contributions to the overall development of the Community, Delta State and Nigeria.
She listed some of them to include the Okeowo twin brothers , Arch and Engineer Okeowo , who built the wonderful Resort in Ogwashi-Uku, High Chief Iyase Mike Nwaukoni and High Chief Jude Ozah, the Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom.
