A factional Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Martins Chike Amaewhule, has said the twenty seven lawmakers that defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the crisis rocking the state chapter of the PDP.
He said the 4-man group led by another factional speaker, Rt. Hon Edison Ehie, cannot form a quorum, describing their legislative actions in the name of the Assembly as a nullity that can’t stand in the eye of the law.
