Omeh Dee Wins 9mobile’s 9Lives Rap Battle

In a thrilling display of lyrical prowess and storytelling, Chigozie Godspower Obioma, widely known as Omeh Dee, secured victory as the winner of 9mobile’s highly anticipated 9Lives Rap Battle Competition.

The nationwide competition, a brainchild of 9mobile aimed at discovering and promoting the next generation of rap superstars, attracted unsigned and untapped talents from every corner of Nigeria. Participants were encouraged to bring forth their unique style, vocal dexterity, and lyrical ingenuity to claim the coveted title.

Expressing his elation and gratitude after clinching the top spot, Omeh Dee expressed appreciation to 9mobile for providing a platform that allowed him to turn his dreams into reality. His captivating ability to weave compelling stories with unique rhymes set him apart, captivating both the judges and the enthusiastic audience.

The event, graced by 9mobile’s officials and esteemed judges, including Franklyn Ikemefune (Samo Agbero or ‘Vader the wildcard’), exemplified the telecommunications giant’s commitment to fostering creativity and nurturing emerging talents in Nigeria’s vibrant music industry.

Omeh Dee’s victory was not only marked by the prestigious title but also by the presentation of a cash award of N1 million, a testament to 9mobile’s dedication to supporting and celebrating local talents.

First runner-up, Folarin Michael Tokunbo a.k.a Mickey Fols, and second runner-up, Emmanuel Jonathan a.k.a Big Flow, also received commendation and cash prizes of N300,000 and N200,000, respectively, alongside consolation prizes.
