A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Friday, issued a N25 million fine against Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, for violating the fundamental human rights of Alhassan Doguwa, the lawmaker representing Doguwa/Tundun Wada federal constituency at the House of Representatives.
Ripples Nigeria reports that on February 28, Doguwa was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, while boarding a flight to Abuja.
The police had said they received a report that he led thugs to set ablaze the secretariat of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano.
