The club confirmed in a statement which was released on the club’s website that they had made their appeal with the Chair of the Premier League’s Judicial Panel on Friday, which will now lead to the appointment of an Appeal Board to hear the case.
The Premier League had initially told Everton that they had until the close of work on Friday to submit an appeal. However, Everton runs the risk of suffering another points deduction if they are found to have breached spending rules in their next set of accounts, which are set to be submitted by December 31, 2023.
