The viral song gained massive popularity on TikTok with the viral dance and thousands of fans using it over their videos and testing their skills with the Water Dance Challenge. The breakthrough song hit No. 1 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, ending the 58-week run of Rema and Selena Gomez’s song ‘Calm Down’. In October, Billboard named her the “R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month”.
