The player reached an agreement with the investigators to reach an agreement for a plea bargain. According to reports, he gambled over one million euros, a few months and, due to his exposure with bookies, involved his footballer friends, Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Zaniolo, connecting them with betting agents for secure wagers.
Fagioli is the first player involved in the case and is expected to get a seven-month ban, which means he will be out for the rest of the 2023/24 season. However, Tonali and Zaniolo will be heard by the Turin and FIGC Prosecutors before the end of the week or from October 23.
