The Imo State gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu has said insecurity has reduced the monthly internally generated revenue of the state to less than N500 million.

Anyanwu made the disclosure during the decampment of over 4000 members of the Labour Party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to assist the latter clinch the Douglas House Owerri.

He said “As we speak, the economy of Imo has reduced, the internally generated revenue is less than N500million because of insecurity and killings.”

He promised to build satellite government houses in Orlu and Okigwe zones where he will stay and operate for three months in a bid to spread development in the state.
