Former Works Minister, Onolememen Dumps PDP

Former minister of Works and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Chief Mike Oziegbe Onolememen, has resigned from the party.

Onolememen, in a letter dated September 25, 2023 said his reason for resigning his membership from the party was due to the protracted conflict in the party.

His resignation letter was sent to the chairman of the Edo State chapter of the PDP, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi. He also copied the PDP Local Government Area chairman, PDP Senatorial chairman, PDP South-South zonal chairman, and PDP acting national chairman.

Onolememen was a founding member of the PDP since 1998. He, however, did not state the party he would join.

The letter reads in part: “After carefully analysing the protracted conflict in the party and consulting with relevant stakeholders from my immediate constituency, political associates, friends, and family, my decision was made.

“I want to use the opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of the journey since I joined the Party in 1998,” he added.
