Though the Federal Government through the Nigerian Railway Corporation was said to have generated about N5bn revenue from the Lagos-Ibadan train services in 2022, that number could have been much higher if the corporation had blocked all leakages, especially fraudulent ticket racketeering.
Business Hallmark’s investigations revealed that the coaches in the train, which plies the Lagos-Ibadan rail line have a passenger capacity of about 900/1000 passengers per trip.
