Ahiwe who described the anniversary as a significant milestone in the chronicles of AbAbia’sistory, remarked that though Abia may not have attained her full potential 32, the State has been essentially lifted from the craters of cicivilizationnd is better positioned for a revolutionary leap towards fully actualising its prospects in measurable socio-economic contexts that must reflect in pepeople’selfare, as well as fulfilling the larger mission of (re)shaping Nigeria’s socio-political destiny in collective best interests, particularly for Ndi Igbo.
Looking back to the future in deeper retrospection, Chief Ahiwe observed that through sunshine and shadows, the rainbow of hope for a greater Abia is perceptible in optimistic terms, and called on all Abians to pray for the State, strengthen their commitment to its growth, exercise their faith in the realistic possibilities of a brighter tomorrow, and continue to equip themselves with functional knowledge for innovative self-development.
