The youngster just completed his transfer to Atletico Madrid earlier this week, but he is set for another transfer
Nigeria-eligible striker Samuel Omorodion is set to leave Atletico Madrid for Deportivo Alaves on a season-long loan, Soccernet reports.
Omorodion began life in the Spanish top-flight in outstanding fashion, scoring for Granada on his senior team debut in the Laliga when they lost 3-1 to Atletico Madrid.
Following his impressive display, former Spanish Champions Atletico Madrid swooped in for the 19-year-old, signing him for €6million. They planned to let the striker remain at Granada for the rest of the season to get enough game time and gather more experience.
However, Laliga does not allow clubs to send players to their old clubs on loan deals after triggering their release clause.
As such, the Rojiblancos had to look at other options. Earlier, Soccernet reported that some Laliga sides like Sevilla, Celta Vigo, Cadiz, and Real Betis were interested in signing the 19-year-old striker.
AS now reports that Atletico Madrid have agreed on a deal with Alaves for Omorodion, which will see him join the club on a season-long loan.
No purchase clause will be included in the contract so that Omorodion can return to Atleti from the end of the season.
The youngster would look to impress at Alaves, where he would get more minutes and less attention.
