On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, a helicopter crashed on Oba Akran road in the Ikeja area of Lagos. The incident led to a swift response from the Lagos Fire and Rescue Services, who are currently conducting rescue operations at the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported that the crash took place around 3:30 pm. The helicopter descended and upon impact, caught fire, creating a distressing situation.
Thankfully, investigations have revealed that four occupants aboard the helicopter were successfully rescued.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) promptly attended to the situation and transported the rescued individuals to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASU) for medical attention.
