During a news conference, Ahmed Afif, the vice president of Seychelles, said that Nigerians with diplomatic passports and those with legitimate work or residency permits granted by Seychelles will be permitted admission.
Seychelles has announced tighter border restrictions, necessitating more thorough screening before allowing admission to travelers holding Nigerian passports.
“We have seen a clear link between this with certain people from Nigeria. In the past two weeks, for example, 13 people coming from Nigeria have been arrested when entering Seychelles because they were carrying drugs into the country,” he added.
