Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Swiss international would join Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen on a long-term deal. Granit Xhaka had initially agreed on a five-year deal with the German club in May 2023 after the 2022/23 season ended.
Arsenal’s decision to allow Xhaka to leave the club was taken after Declan Rice’s move from West Ham United was confirmed. The Gunners are expected to receive €25 million from Leverkusen for the midfielder.
