Nigerian singer and cultural ambassador, Jemiriye Adeniji has lauded the diverse Nigerian culture and its human resources as the gold mine Nigeria needs to turn our economy around.
Adeniji who reflected on the recent diaspora meeting with President Bola Tinubu, noted that the nation has all it takes to experience national and economic development if every Nigeria both home and abroad supports the new administration and give the right advice and points the wrong they err.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP, Jemiriye who felt privileged to meet and perform for the president and other dignitaries in Montaigne, Paris, said, “It was a privilege to have been invited by the Nigerian Embassy in France to welcome our new president and that epoch making event was an encounter for me. I believe with our rich and diverse culture deployed in tourism initiatives and good governance being at the bedrock of the new administration, Nigeria is set for new wave of national rebirth and economic development.
“Having traveled far and wide, I see great Nigerians in diaspora abroad and in different endeavours, ready and willing to contribute their quota in nation building. So, I believe with our rich human resources being utilized and maximized, Nigeria will experience a transformation in no too distant time,” said the Tambele singer.
Jemiriye is a powerful sonorous musician who has released songs like Tambele, Lagos, 511, My Body, Saami Iye. She was a finalist of Nigerian Idols singing contest. She is passionate about girl-child empowerment via her Ewa Global Initiative.
