Kano Government Ceases Salaries Of Over 10,000 Ganduje-Employed State Workers

The governor of Kano, Abba Yusuf, has given orders to the accountant-general of the state to cease giving salaries to 10,800 workers, who are believed to have been employed by the Abdullahi-led administration.

Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, the accountant-general of Kano state, made this announcement on Monday while addressing journalists, saying that the governor had called for an investigation to confirm that the affected employees were legitimately hired, and to remove the illegally employed ones. The said workers can continue to serve in their places of appointment until the investigation is completed.
