Abdulrahman Haruna Ali of the Sarauniya Boys of Bauchi (N/East) only goal in the first half of the very tensed finals of the National under16 super six gave his team the victory over their opponent Unity Boys from Northwest in a match that ended 1:0.
The Nasaraya youths representing North Central came third winning Agbara Wonderful academy 5:3 on penalty shot out after a 1:1 draw at regulation time.
Earlier in the semi finals which was also played at the main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) Kaduna, the unity boys representing North West humiliated the Agbara Wonderful academy representing South West 3:0, while the Sauraniya boys from Bauchi representing North East narrowly booked their space in the finals after defeating Nasarawa youths representing North Central 1:0.
Speaking at the end of the finals, the winning Coach Shehu Musa expressed delight with his boys playing according to instruction which gave them the win, adding that the boys are commtted to displaying their talents with every opportunity afforded them.
His counterpart, Coach Halilu Kuso North West whose team came first runner up, said, although his boys were not fortunate to emerge winner, their play was satisfactory, stressing that it will get better going forward.
At the end of the championship, Hayatu Haruna from North West with right goals emerged the highest goal scorer of the championship while Bashir Muhammed also from North West was decorated as the Most Valuable Player (MVP), just as Mujayid Adamu Ibrahim from North East who won the best goalkeeper of the championship.
Also Speaking on the Championship, the National YSFON Technical Director, Abdulgafar Agboola commended the talents displayed by the young boys, adding with little mentoring and coaching the boys will become stars in the nearest future.
Barrister Imran Kubarachi of Managing director of Kubarachi yoghout who supported the championship said, he was satisfied with the impressive talents displayed by the young boys and promised to sustain the support.

Musa Nimrod, Alhaji Munsur Labi ABUBAKAR Permanent Commissioner INEC, Comptroller Bashir Mohammed Lawal, Comptroller of immigration, Kaduna State and Alhaji Ibrahim Yakubu Director ob Sports Development, Kaduna State among several others.
