House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas has formed seven special committees.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the announcement was made on Thursday in Abuja, where the Speaker unveiled the names of the committees and their respective heads.
The committees cover a wide range of areas crucial to the functioning of the House.
Heading the Internal Security Committee is Representative Mohammed Danjuma. The Selection Committee, responsible for key decision-making processes, will be chaired directly by Speaker Abbas himself.
Representative Buka Ibrahim will lead the Media Committee. This committee will play a vital role in maintaining effective communication between the House and the public.
Professor Julius Ihonbvare will take charge of the Legislative Agenda Committee, while Representative Igariwey Iduma has been appointed as the head of the Rules and Business Committee.
The Welfare Committee, responsible for the well-being of House members, will be chaired by Representative Wale Raji.
Lastly, Representative Tunji Olawuyi will chair the Ethics and Privileges Committee.
