Nigeria’s Glass House: Symbolic Presidential Transition

As Nigerians await the inauguration of president-elect Bola Tinubu on May 29, preparations are underway for the transition of power and the subsequent relocation of key political figures.

One of the notable landmarks at the heart of this process is the iconic “Glass House,” the residence reserved exclusively for the outgoing president in the days leading up to the inauguration of the new president and the new government.

Recall that first lady Aisha Buhari while showing the incoming first lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, disclosed that she and her husband had moved to the Glass House

Following the announcement of the election results, the president-elect is set to assume temporary residence at the Defense House while preparations for the grand inauguration ceremony ensue.
