Talented Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, was one of the winners at the just concluded Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The 2023 VGMAs saw some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry in Africa pick up wins in major categories.
The event, which took place in Accra on May 6, 2023, saw Asake win the “Best African Artiste” category, beating fellow Nigerians Burna Boy, Asake, Kizz Daniel, and Ayra Starr to the award that also had newcomers The Therapist and Cameroonian-American singer Libianca in contention.
