The International Press Institute (IPI) has called on the Nigerian president-elect, Bola Tinubu to create a better operating environment for journalists and media organisations in the country.
The President, IPI Nigeria, Musikilu Mojeed and the Chairman, IPI Nigeria Advocacy Committee, Tobi Soniyi, made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday in commemoration of the 2023 World Press Freedom Day.
The statement noted that in the past few years, cases of media and journalists’ harassment have been rampant.in Nigeria.
