Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello urged Nigerians to pray for the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a smooth transition.
The governor spoke with the press shortly after the Eid Prayer, held at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja.
“It’s very important that we pray for our leaders, from our President, Muhammadu Buhari, to the governors, local government Chairmen and traditional rulers. It’s all about unity and peace of Nigeria our country, so we shouldn’t relent in prayers”, the governor said.
He expressed gratitude to God for the Eid-el-fitri marking the end of Ramadan fasting and prayers.
“Let’s continue to be law abiding and ensure that we play by the rules of the game and indeed by God’s grace, success shall be ours, ” he added
