Zubair succeeded Engineer Ali A. Rabiu, who was the president of the council from April 2019 – April 2023.
The statement said that the new president, 61, is a graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Agric & Bio-Resources Engineering in 1987, an MSc in Agric & Bio-Resources Engineering in 1992 and a Ph.D. in Agric & Bio-Resources Engineering in 2002.
