Hiba Abouk was born in Madrid to Tunisian immigrants who settled in Spain before her birth. Her father had Libyan roots and was descended from a Romani great-grandfather. Hiba developed a passion for Flamenco, which she pursued later in life. She attended the French Lycée in Madrid until the age of 18 before pursuing Arabic philology and obtaining a license degree in drama from the RESAD.
Hiba’s acting career took off after she made an appearance in an episode of the television series El sndrome de Ulses in 2008 under the name Hiba Hadoukis. Her breakthrough role came in 2010 in the comedy series La isla de los nominados on the Spanish TV channel Cuatro. She also had a recurring role in the Spanish adaptation of Cheers in 2011 and played Guadalupe in El corazón del océano, which aired in 2014.
