Ex-Ondo Gov, Mimiko, Cautions Against Divisive Tendencies

Former governor of Ondo state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has urged Nigeria to eschew utterances and actions that are detrimental to the unity of the country.

He stated this while rejoicing with Nigerian christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration – the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The former governor said this in a statement by his special assistant on Media and Digital Communications, John Paul Akinduro. He urged Nigerians to put behind them ethnic and religious scrimmage experienced during the just-concluded general elections, saying the country can only move forward in unity.

According to him, “There is no question about the fact that Nigeria is undergoing some teething issues often associated with fledgling democracy like ours but we shall overcome.
