Vice-Chancellor of Wellspring University, Edo State, Prof. Isaac Ajayi, has said the institution would continue to lead in promoting the cause of higher education in the country.
Ajayi spoke, yesterday, in Benin City on the recent development recorded in the institution as well as the accreditation/ commencement of new courses as approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
According to the VC, the university remains irrevocably committed to academic excellence and high standard. He said: “The university got the approval of the NUC to commence the following new courses with effect from the 2022/2023 session, which started October last year. The new courses are B.Sc Public Health, B.Sc. Criminology and Security Studies, B.Sc Human Resource Management, Doctor of Business Administration and Ph.D Business Administration.
“The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has also accredited our B.Sc Accounting programme, which makes it quite easy for our graduates to qualify to become recognised Chartered Accountants shortly after their graduation or even while they are still students in the university.”
