The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has commented on the possibility of an interim government that could prevent the inauguration of Bola Tinubu, stating that such an arrangement would not be supported by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Lalong made this statement after meeting with Buhari at Aso Rock on Thursday.
The APC and the PDP had challenged the DSS to apprehend plotters of a possible interim national government, following the rejection of the February 25 presidential election results by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the PDP and the Labour Party, respectively.
While there is talk of an interim government, Lalong believes that this is merely a dream, as President Buhari has consistently expressed his commitment to democracy and peaceful succession.
Lalong further expressed confidence that Buhari would bring forth a successor, namely Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
