Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that effective from Saturday, April 1st, bus fares on all regulated buses – BRT, Standard, and FLM – will revert to 100% rate.
The Governor had earlier approved a 50% slash in bus fares on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, following the cash crunch brought about by the recent currency swap.
However, following the recent pronouncements by the Supreme Court and the Federal Government on the use of old notes alongside the new notes and the return of stability to the system, the 50% rebate is hereby discontinued.
Consequently, bus fares will return to the pre-50% slash rate, effective Saturday, April 1st, 2023.
