Fani-Kayode urge UK to recall envoy for interfering in Nigerian politics

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called on the United Kingdom to recall its envoy in Nigeria, Ben Llewellyn-Jones, for getting involved in the country’s politics.

British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Llewellyn-Jones, called out Fani-Kayode for comments he made during the governorship election in Lagos.

Llewellyn-Jones also said the All Progressives Congress (APC), ought to have distanced itself from the comments of Fani-Kayode on Lagos belonging to Yoruba people.
He stated that the UK was already collating names of perpetrators and would impose sanctions which will include preventing people from obtaining UK visas or imposing sanctions.

On Monday Fani-Kayode, who served as a spokesman for the APC presidential campaign, in a series of tweets said foreign diplomats are not supposed to interfere in Nigeria’s affairs.
