WAEC suspends manual process of result confirmation

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has suspended manual confirmation of the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) from 1999 to date.

WAEC spokesperson Moyosola Adesina, in a statement, urged stakeholders and the general public to utilise the digital certificate platform to ease the bottlenecks associated with the manual access and confirmation system.

Adesina noted that efforts are underway to expand the platform to accommodate candidates from 1980, and updates will be provided to the public as they become available.

She stated that the digital certificate platform allows candidates to access, download, and share their original WAEC certificates, noting that credentials shared through the platform are authentic and sourced directly from the database.
