According to a report on INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER, have it that the incident happened on March 19, at Erie Street, off Sokponba Road in the Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.
Eguabor, a Coach in charge of Boxing in Edo State Ministry of Sports and head of Edo State Security Network in Erie and its environs, was said to have responded to an invitation by his younger sister to settle a quarrel in his in-law’s house when he allegedly gave the deceased a heavy punch on his face.
It was learnt that the deceased went to Esigie Police Division to report the matter and was advised by the police on duty to go for treatment at the hospital.
