Enugu guber: CUPP tasks police to prosecute arrested armed thugs

AAC guber candidate vows to raise minimum wage to N50, 000

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has asked the police to prosecute suspects arrested in parts of Enugu State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

CUPP’s call followed revelation by Labour Party governorship candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, that some armed thugs, brought in to disrupt the poll, were nabbed by a combined team of security operatives.

Speaking at a press briefing, yesterday, Chairman of CUPP in the state, Festus Okafor, said the matter must not be swept under the carpet.
