During a meeting with newly elected members of the National Assembly, the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, through his representative, Kashim Shettima, stated that he has no preferred candidates for the leadership of both chambers that will constitute the 10th National Assembly.
This was revealed by Abdulmalik Bungudu, a member-elect for Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, who spoke in the Hausa language to a correspondent shortly after the meeting.
Bungudu stated that Tinubu said he has no preferred candidates for any of the principal offices of the 10th NASS, but consultations will continue to ensure the party emerges victorious in the forthcoming governorship and Houses of Assembly elections.
